Hotels in the Philippines

We list places to stay in three parts of the Philippines: the small, laid-back island of Siquijor, the university city of Dumaguete on Negros, which is the usual gateway to Siquijor, and Puerto Princesa, the capital of Palawan.

Each has its own guide, with areas, getting there and the best things to do.

Planning a trip to the Philippines

Getting around

Most international flights arrive in Manila or Cebu, with domestic connections to Puerto Princesa and Dumaguete. Ferries link Dumaguete with Siquijor, usually in around an hour or two depending on the boat.

Weather

The drier months are usually from around December to May. The rainy season, roughly June to November, can bring typhoons, which may disrupt ferries and flights, so build in some flexibility.
