Overview

Salagdoong Beach Resort is run by Siquijor's provincial government on a secluded cove in Maria, on the island's east coast. The road in passes through Salagdoong Forest, planted with mahogany trees.

Accommodation has included beachfront rooms and duplexes facing the restaurant and beach, and a hotel building, Hotel Agripino, a short climb up the slope. Day visitors pay an entrance fee and can rent kiosk cottages and cabanas. There's a restaurant with a small shop and a grilling area for guests.

Location

A big boulder divides the white-sand beach in two, linked by a small bridge; the right side usually has finer sand and calmer water. People jump into the sea from the rocks and the platforms. It isn't on public transport routes, so arrange a tricycle or scooter.
